Dues
Explanation:
1. State Dues are determined
by the majority vote of the State Board of Directors.
2. State Dues consist of $75.00 plus the appropriate
space dues and unit dues. For multiple owners, see
#9 below, or for less than 10 spaces see #10 below.
3. The Associations fiscal year is January
1 through December 31. The first year, the dues are
payable in full. As you progress into the second year
of membership, the dues are prorated to reflect actual
months of membership during the base year.
4. Membership in the Local Unit is contingent
upon membership in the State Association.
5. Members must be a member of the Local Unit
(normally within 75 miles of community address).
6. All dues are due and payable on or before
January 1 of each year.
7. The Manufactured Housing Community is the
actual member of the Association. If the Community
does change ownership, please have the new owner complete
a new application in order to maintain records and
mailings of the Association. Sellers are encouraged
to prorate dues at closing.
8. Membership dues, as well as other Association
dues, are considered legitimate business expenses
and are tax deductible except for lobbying costs.
9. When the same owner/entity has more than
one community, they must apply for membership for
all communities. MHCW allows the 100 plus discount
if the space count for all communities exceeds 100.
Multiple community owners only pay $75.00 for each
community membership. In the case of limited partnerships
or owner syndications, the General Partners shall
be considered to have a controlling interest for purposes
of this section.
10. Minimum dues are $200.00 if less than
10 spaces.
Applicant agrees to uphold MHCW Code of Ethics and
to maintain membership in good standing. |
