GOVERNMENT RELATIONS
 
MHCW's extensive Government Relations program combines a proactive legislative program, year-round lobbying efforts, timely legislative alerts, agency representation, and coalition building to address legislative and regulatory proposals that would directly impact the industry.

• MHCW has two contract lobbyists who advocate for MHC legislative needs year round.
• MHCW enters into issue-centered coalitions with other organizations to achieve common goals.
• MHCW meets monthly with representatives from the State Office of Manufactured Housing, and with resident representatives to discuss problems and issues.
• MHCW maintains membership and close communication with the Manufactured Housing Institute in Washington D.C. to take advantage of national lobbying coordination and information.
